A mysterious image has appeared on Bethesda Softworks’ Twitter stream that may herald the announcement of the primary downloadable content addition for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Before we fashion any further, you should all commit a hefty grain of salt attached your tongues. We’re encircling to dip into some pretty weighty speculation, but given what little we discern so far that’s in various places all we have to go without ceasing.

Roughly five hours ago the official Bethesda Softworks Twitter account released the overhead image alongside a frustratingly coy upright-word explanation. “Tomorrow,” it says merely, though what exactly might happen tomorrow is anyone’s imagine.

This being the Internet rumor and intellectual examination have run rampant, with most positing the form that the screencap is an object of worship from the long-awaited first downloadable appease addition for Bethesda’s wildly successful, critically-beloved The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. “Looks like a Stormcloak inmost nature interrogated by a Thalmor agent. Check out the neck-harness and pointy ears on the dude in the foreground,” writes Facebook user Ben Ruddock.

As OXM points out it has been extensive known that the first two DLC packs in spite of Skyrim will initially be exclusive to the Xbox 360, what one., given the recent announcement of each upcoming Skyrim update focusing on Kinect noise commands, casts a suspicious air from one side to the other the timing of this image’s what is seen.

Assuming we are looking at the primeval screenshot from an upcoming Skyrim DLC compress , the picture gives scant information taken in the character of to what that pack might comprise. OXM also notes that Bethesda father company ZeniMax Media has trademarked the expression. “Dawnguard” specifically for video intrepid add-ons, and that the Skyrim community discovered low-resolution versions of close acquaintance landmarks from earlier Elder Scrolls titles attached the Skyrim disc (though neither of those facts in fact tell us anything concrete). For whole we know this hypothetical DLC opens a rent between Tamriel and the post-in wastes of Fallout 3, forcing players to resist wave after wave of giant Radscorpions by nothing but a rusty sword and the kinetic power of their screams.

That was supposed to have existence a joke, but now that it’s in make an impress the idea sounds awesome. We won’t perceive for sure what Bethesda has up its sleeve until tomorrow, but we’re consistency our fingers crossed for a opening to FUS RO DAH that nuke in the something intermediate of Megaton just to see which happens.
