IBM has made up of many initiatives and solutions dedicated to distended data, and the global tech incorporated body is only reaffirming those commitments by the acquisition of Varicent Software.
Toronto-based Varicent provides analytics software by reason of compensation and sales performance management, automating and integrating sales, retainer and financial performance management across an enterprise.
Most of Varicent’s customers are in the fiscal, retail, telecommunications, and IT industries. Specific customers embody Hertz, Office Depot and Starwood Hotels.
Les Rechan, not special manager of business analytics at IBM, explained in a relation that the addition of Varicent is intended to boost IBM’s analytics portfolio.
The acquisition of Varicent advances IBM’s efforts to carry on analytics capabilities into the hands of meet face to face line employees to transform business operations and in the end improve the bottom line. For the thousands of sales organizations lull relying on silos of data, spreadsheets and e-armor to manage sales, there is every enormous opportunity to apply analytics to this indispensable area of business and uncover renovated, untapped growth opportunities.
Specifically, IBM is planning to involve Varicent with its research and disentanglement groups as well as with former acquisitions such as OpenPages and Cognos to liberalize IBM’s analytics solutions for finance, sales, and customer service operations.
